Shannon Stellhorn, Certified Birth Doula
I am Shannon Stellhorn, daughter of the King, wife to a wonderful man, and the blessed mom of three wonderful little boys. My first birth experience was so amazing that I wanted to be more involved in helping other women in their births. I pursued my certification with Childbirth International in 2008. I have attended over 150 births, as well as having two unmedicated deliveries myself (My oldest son was placed in our family by adoption.).I was a housemother in a maternity home where I got a lot of experience working with pregnant teenagers throughout their pregnancies and labor and delivery. In December of 2009, I took Hypnobirthing classes and used some of the techniques during my last birth. I began the process to become a midwife and recently finished my apprenticeship at Rite of Passage in Pearland with plans to sit for my midwifery exam in February. I love pregnancy, childbirth, and babies and love encouraging and supporting women thru their pregnancy and childbirth journeys.
